Ceramic Coating in Naples FL
A glass-hard shell over your paint that makes washing easy and keeps the gloss for years, not months. Nano Pro and Dura Coat certified.
What a Ceramic Coating Is
A ceramic coating is a liquid that bonds chemically to your clear coat and cures into a hard, transparent layer. Wax sits on top of paint and washes away in weeks. A coating becomes part of the surface. The result is paint where water sheets off, dirt has far less to grip, and UV is taken at the coating instead of the clear coat, and it washes in a third of the time.
We are certified installers of two lines. Nano Pro, whose Borophene and Borograph coatings carry a lifetime warranty from Nano Pro and are positioned by the manufacturer as a permanent ceramic coating. And Dura Coat Technology's 5-year coating, the value pick. Duncan Elite was the first Nano Pro certified installer in Naples.

Why It Matters in Southwest Florida
The Naples sun is the reason ceramic coatings exist. Clear coat that would last fifteen years in Ohio starts hazing here in five. Salt air rides in off the Gulf every afternoon and sits on the paint overnight. Summer rain leaves mineral spots that etch by the next day, and lovebugs twice a year leave acid that eats through wax in hours.
A coating is a chemical barrier against all of it. Salt and minerals sit on the coating, not the paint. Bug acid meets the coating before the clear coat, buying you time, not immunity. UV is taken at the coating instead of the clear coat. And because the surface is so slick, most of it rinses off with a hose before you ever touch the car.

Text usOur Process
- Quote by text. Vehicle, color, which line. Same-day reply with price, the warranty in writing, and a date.
- Drop off at 174 5th St. One to two days. The car stays inside.
- Decontamination. Wash, iron remover, tar remover, clay bar. Nothing goes under a coating.
- Paint correction. Depth readings on every panel, test spot, then one or two-step correction as the paint needs. This is most of the labor in a coating job and the part that separates a good result from a shiny mistake.
- Panel wipe. Solvent wipe to strip every trace of polishing oil so the coating bonds to bare clear coat.
- Coating. Applied panel by panel, flashed, leveled, and inspected under light. Add-on coatings for glass, wheels, and trim go on here.
- Cure and handoff. Coating cures overnight in the shop. You get care instructions, the warranty paperwork, and a car that looks better than it did on the lot.

Caring for a Coated Car
- First week: no washing. The coating is still curing. Rinse bird droppings off with water only if you must.
- Then: hand or touchless, every couple of weeks. Two-bucket method, pH-neutral soap, a clean microfiber to dry. No brush washes.
- No wax. A coating-safe spray sealant a few times a year is fine; wax is not needed.
- Annual inspection. Required by Nano Pro to keep their warranty valid, and how Dura Coat expects theirs maintained. We book it with you at pickup.
- Bugs and droppings: same day. The coating buys you time, not immunity. Rinse them off when you see them.

Ceramic Coating FAQs
How much does ceramic coating cost in Naples?
Dura Coat Technology’s 5-year coating starts at $800. Nano Pro is quoted by vehicle, paint condition, and formulation. Text us the vehicle and a photo in sunlight and you will have a firm number the same day, with the warranty terms in writing.
What does the quote include?
Decontamination wash, iron and tar removal, clay bar, paint correction sized to your paint, the coating, an overnight cure in the shop, and the care guide and warranty paperwork at pickup. Wheels, glass, trim, and interior coatings are quoted as add-ons.
Is ceramic coating worth it in Florida?
If you keep the car more than a year or two, yes. UV at this latitude, salt air, daily rain spotting, and lovebug acid are all things a coating takes instead of your clear coat, and washing takes a fraction of the time. On a lease with a year left, a one-step correction and a sealant is usually the smarter spend, and we will say so.
What are the downsides of ceramic coating?
It is not scratch-proof and it does not stop rock chips. It needs a proper hand or touchless wash to stay glossy; brush washes will mar it over time. And it locks in whatever is under it, which is why correction first is not optional.
Can I take a coated car through a car wash?
Touchless, yes. Brush washes, no; that is what puts swirls in a coating the same way it does in paint. Two-bucket hand wash or touchless every couple of weeks, pH-neutral soap, clean microfiber to dry.
Can I wax over a ceramic coating?
You do not need to and it gets in the way. Wax sits on top and washes off in weeks; the coating is the protection. A coating-safe spray sealant a few times a year is fine.
How long does a ceramic coating last?
It depends on the product and the care. Dura Coat Technology warranties its 5-year coating for five years when installed by a certified technician and maintained per their care guide. Nano Pro’s lines carry warranties from 36 months to lifetime by formulation; the table below is their published schedule. All of them require the wash routine above, and Nano Pro requires an annual inspection.
What does "permanent" mean on the Nano Pro coating?
Nano Pro’s Borophene and Borograph coatings carry a lifetime warranty from Nano Pro when the aftercare and annual inspection requirements are met, and Nano Pro positions them as a permanent ceramic coating. Their 9H Hybrid and 10H Radical lines carry 36 and 60 month warranties. We walk you through the documentation and conditions before you buy.
Does my car need paint correction first?
Yes. A coating is clear and it locks in whatever is under it, swirls included. We are Dura Coat certified in paint correction and size it to your paint on every coating job. On a new car that is usually a light one-step; on a five-year-old black SUV it may be two.
Can I ceramic coat my car myself?
Consumer kits exist. The difference is not the bottle, it is the correction and prep underneath it and the inspection lighting that shows high spots before they cure. Most of the labor in a professional coating is the paint work, not the coating.
Is ceramic coating the same as PPF?
No. A coating is microns thick and protects against chemicals, UV, and light contamination; it does not stop rock chips. PPF is a thick sacrificial layer that stops chips. On a car that sees I-75, the right answer is often both: Liquid PPF on the front, ceramic over everything.
Do you coat boats, RVs, and golf carts?
Yes. Gelcoat is one of the best uses for a coating because it oxidizes fast in salt and sun. Marine ceramic is quoted on the boat detailing page; RV and golf cart coatings are quoted with those details.
Pair It With
A coating protects against chemicals and sun, not rocks. Liquid PPF on the front end stops chips. Paint correction comes first under any coating. Boats: marine ceramic is quoted on the boat detailing page.
