What Paint Protection Film Does
Paint protection film is a clear sacrificial layer over your paint. A rock that would have chipped your hood hits the PPF instead. Bug acid and bird droppings etch the PPF, not your clear coat. UV bakes the PPF, and your paint underneath stays the color it was.
Most shops in Southwest Florida install traditional film: sheets of urethane cut on a plotter and stretched over each panel. We install Nano Pro Liquid PPF, which is sprayed on as a liquid and cures into the same kind of protective layer with no sheets involved. Why It Matters in Southwest Florida
Three things chew up front ends here. The first is I-75 and Alligator Alley: 70 mph behind trucks throwing shell gravel, which is what most of our roads are built on. The second is lovebug season, twice a year, when the acid in the splatter etches clear coat in a day of sun. The third is the sun itself, which fades reds and blacks and chalks white clear coats faster than almost anywhere in the country.
Film PPF handles the rocks but struggles with the heat: edges lift, adhesive yellows, and seams collect dirt. Liquid PPF has no edges to lift and no adhesive layer to fail. That is the reason we went with it for this climate.

Front end
Full bumper, full hood, front fenders, mirror caps, headlights. This is where 90 percent of chips land and the package most daily drivers choose.
Front end plus
Front end, plus A-pillars, roof leading edge, rocker panels, and the rear bumper top where luggage scrapes. Right for trucks, SUVs, and anything that tows.
Full body
Every painted panel. The answer on exotics, dark colors that show every chip, and cars you intend to keep. Usually paired with a ceramic coating on top.
Pricing
Liquid PPF starts at $1,000 for front-end coverage on a typical car, paint correction included.
Full body and larger vehicles are quoted by coverage and size. Send the year, make, model, and which package you are thinking about; you will have a number and a date the same day. Nano Pro positions Liquid PPF as more cost-effective than comparable film coverage, and in our quotes that has held.

Our Process
- Quote by text. Vehicle, color, coverage. Same-day reply with a price, the warranty terms in writing, and a drop-off date.
- Drop off at 174 5th St. The car stays inside for the whole job. Front end is usually two days, full body three to four.
- Decontamination and inspection. Wash, iron remover, clay, then paint depth readings on every panel. Anything already chipped or repainted gets flagged before we start.
- Paint correction. At least a one-step polish; Liquid PPF is clear and locks in whatever is underneath. We size the correction to your paint, not a menu.
- Application. Panels masked, Liquid PPF applied in the booth, then cured. No trim, badges, or lights removed. No seams to line up.
- Inspection and handoff. Under lights, panel by panel. You get care instructions and the Nano Pro warranty documentation.
Warranty
Per Nano Pro's published terms:
- Liquid PPF on its own: 10-year warranty.
- Liquid PPF plus one layer of Nano Pro Borophene or Borograph ceramic coating: permanent warranty. This is the stack we recommend on any car you plan to keep.
- Annual inspection required. Nano Pro voids the warranty if the annual service is skipped. We schedule it with you at pickup.

Liquid PPF FAQs
What is paint protection film?
A clear protective layer over your paint that takes the rock chips, bug acid, bird droppings, and UV so your clear coat does not. Traditional PPF is a sheet of urethane film cut and stretched over each panel. Liquid PPF is sprayed on and cures into that same protective layer with no sheets, no seams, and no edges.
How is Liquid PPF different from regular film PPF?
Film has seams at every panel edge, needs trim and badges removed for full coverage, can bubble or lift at edges in Florida heat, and a rock chip means replacing the whole panel’s film. Nano Pro Liquid PPF is applied as a liquid, so it goes on seamless, covers every curve and edge without disassembly, and chips are spot-repaired. Is it visible on the car?
No. It cures clear and glossy. On a fresh correction it actually adds depth to the paint. There is no film edge to see or feel, which is the tell on most traditional PPF installs.
How long does Liquid PPF last?
Nano Pro backs Liquid PPF with a 10-year warranty on its own. Add one layer of Nano Pro Borophene or Borograph ceramic coating over it and Nano Pro extends that to a permanent warranty. Either way the terms come in writing with your quote, and both require the annual inspection to stay valid.
What happens when I get a rock chip?
Bring it in. Because there is no film to strip, the spot is repaired directly, usually same day. With traditional film the whole panel typically gets re-wrapped.
Which parts of the car should I protect?
The front end takes 90 percent of the abuse: bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors, and the A-pillars and roof leading edge. On I-75 and Alligator Alley that is where the chips land. Full-body is the right answer on exotics, dark colors, and anything you plan to keep for a decade. We will show you where your car is already chipping and quote from there.
Can you apply Liquid PPF over a ceramic coating, or a coating over PPF?
Liquid PPF goes on corrected bare paint. Ceramic goes on top of it, and with Nano Pro that is not just for gloss: one layer of Borophene or Borograph over the PPF upgrades the 10-year warranty to permanent. Do not put PPF over an existing coating; it needs to bond to paint. We plan the stack when we quote.
Does my paint need correction first?
Yes, at least a light one. Liquid PPF is clear and it locks in whatever is under it. We are certified in paint correction and it is part of every PPF quote, sized to what your paint actually needs.
How long does the install take?
Front end: usually two days including correction and cure. Full body: three to four days. The car stays inside the shop the whole time. Plan on no washing for the first week after pickup.
How do I take care of it?
Hand wash or touchless. No automatic brush washes. Bugs and bird droppings come off easily and should come off promptly, same as any paint. Bring it back once a year for the Nano Pro annual inspection; skipping it voids the warranty. There is no film edge to keep clean.
How much does Liquid PPF cost?
Starting at $1,000 for front-end coverage on a typical car, quoted by text with the vehicle and coverage you want. Full body and larger vehicles are more. Paint correction is included in the quote because the PPF locks in whatever is underneath.
Build the Full Stack
Liquid PPF stops chips. It does not make washing easier or add the water-beading you get from a coating. Most full-body customers add a Nano Pro ceramic coating over the PPF for that. If the paint already has swirls, correction is part of the job. And since the car is in the shop for days anyway, ceramic window tint is the natural add.
